Give us as much detail as possible regarding the issue you're experiencing:
Unity Editor version: 2022.3.41f1
ML2 OS version: irrelevant
Unity SDK version: 2.3.0
Host OS: Windows
The Magic Leap Setup Tool needs to locate the Magic Leap Hub directory, however when I select the ML Hub3 directory it did not work. Is there a specific file I should locate? I tried to locate (1) the ML Hub3 Dir; (2) the Unity package Dir and (3) the ML Hub3 Packages Dir, but none of them worked.
Thanks!
Hi @zhhqu0305,
Which version of the Magic Leap Project Setup Tool are you using? I have reached out to our team to find a solution for this and I will report back as soon as I learn more.
Best,
El
The package is looking the following path:
- windows:
%USERPROFILE%/MagicLeap/mlsdk/
- Mac:
Home/MagicLeap/mlsdk/
Thanks for your replies. I'm using Setup Tool 2.0.12, and I customized my download paths in settings (see the figure). Is it possible that this leads to the setup tool's failure in finding the path? I've tried both %USERPROFILE%/MagicLeap/mlsdk/
and all those install locations, as well as the upper D:\Unity\MagicLeap
, but none of them worked.
Also, if I still want to use MLSDK features, should I choose "OpenXR" or "deprecated MLSDK" when prompted to choose from these two in Unity? Is this related with the setuptool's configuration?
What features are you wanting to use from MLSDK? You should be able to use them as long as you enable the Perception Snapshots OpenXR feature.
Can you test this version of the Magic Leap Setup Tool to see if it fixes the issue with selecting the Magic Leap folder?
