Magic Leap 2 Overheating Notification Missing After OS Update

Hello,

We have encountered an issue after updating our Magic Leap 2 devices from OS version 1.4.1 to 1.12.1.

In the previous version (1.4.1), when the compute pack overheated, a notification was displayed in the headset, informing the user about the overheating condition.

However, after updating to version 1.12.1:

  • The compute pack LED turns red, indicating overheating.

  • The headset shuts down automatically.

  • No notification is shown inside the glasses before shutdown.

We have reproduced this behavior on multiple devices running the new OS version, so it appears to be consistent and not device-specific.

Could you please clarify:

  • Whether the overheating notification in the headset has been removed or changed in newer OS versions?

  • Or if this behavior might indicate a configuration issue or bug?

Any guidance or confirmation would be appreciated.
