1.2.0-dev2 flashing times out (stuck on Loading)

We were able to successfully update our firmware to 1.2.0-dev1 last week, but found that the Gestures were not being recognized. Trying to update to dev2 using the Magic Leap Hub and the installation keeps failing. once it fails, i have to do a hard restart on my ML2.

Could you help provide direction on getting our OS updated?

Hi @andrewg Thank you for reaching out. Can you please confirm you've followed this guide here: MagicLeap Developer Documentation

Thank you.

I am following the green alert at the top of the screen which states " You can also flash your device using Magic Leap Hub. For more information see ML Hub Installer guide."

Our Part Number is M90AA004_RC so im assuming only secured installs will work.

When i updated to dev1, i used the ML Hub and let it run. I am doing the same exact steps for dev2

We are running it again with a full reset... so far so good. Just waiting on the controller. I will update you once we finalize everything.

Great. We were able to kill the original ML OS and start over from scratch. so far, not bricked  . I will say we are all set... Not sure what the problem was, starting over works.

thanks

Great to hear @andrewg. Thank you for the update and best of luck.

I tried updating as well and had the install time out, now the device is stuck with the fast boot leds going and is not recognized by the computer, is there something I can do to reset the device?

My ML2 also fails to update to to 1.2, just like for you. However it does get recognized briefly by my computer so I'm able to reflash it to 1.1 that works fine.

This is my post:
