I just noticed that ML2 Controller, in my app, loses tracking when the IR lights are not visible by the headset.
I know that the controller can do SLAM and i can see it working, for example, in the device Settings app. In this app, i put the controller behind my head, and the Pointer Ray still follows the controller movements.
This behaviour does not work in my unity 2022 latest LTS app (MRTK3 + XRI).
I’m not sure if this is related to the SO version, i’m not on the latest.
How long is it behind your head/out of the sensor view? I believe the ML2 can only maintain accurate tracking for a short time while it’s out of the sensor FOV.
Just found out that the controller indeed works correcly in the app.
Problem is that if i dont have the thumb finger resting on it, it stops tracking after a second.
Is this behaviour configurable? I didnt find anthing in settings. I would like for the tracking to be active all the time.
