Magic Leap Hub’s Device Stream Settings no longer support the 16:9 aspect ratio and we’ve removed this functionality from the Hub. However, we’ve noticed the Hub may still attempt to load a cached version of this aspect ratio, causing Device Stream to malfunction.
This is due to old builds of the Hub potentially storing “16:9” as the preferred aspect ratio for Device Stream. If a more recent build of the Hub tries to load a cached version of the “16:9” aspect ratio, an exception will be thrown internally causing issues with the Device Stream.
The solution is to change the aspect ratio to “9:10” in Settings by navigating to Home > Settings > Device Stream - General.
This issue is scheduled to be automatically addressed in Magic Leap’s March Release.
