HandTracking work correctly with the AppSimulator?

Despite having followed all the settings of the tutorial:

the rays of the hands do not interact with the UI (while the same command via controller does); I tried various Pinch gestures etc. without result.

Does HandTracking work correctly with the AppSimulator?
What are the gestures to interact with the UI?

How does it function when you build it to the device? Do these issues still occur or is it only in the editor/appsim?

Unfortunately I don't have ML2 available yet and everything happens in the editor/appsim.
