Red controller raycast hangs in mid air

In Unity, I have the scene configured properly with the XR Rig Prefab and have the controller status script from the examples added to the scene, but when I run my app the red raycast just hangs in the air and doesn't seem attached to my controller. If I go to the main menu and come back, it will then behave correctly and appear to extend out from my controller.

I'm hoping this is a common mistake and someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

I'm following the first app example and adding the XR Rig to a new URP scene. The ray always hangs on loading, and I have to go out to the home screen and come back before the ray is attached to my controller again.

Hi @jamesashley, thank you for your post and we apologize for the frustration. This is a bug we've uncovered and have a fix in our upcoming April release, should be this week. We're just going through final checks with the release at the moment.

Just happy to know I'm not crazy and that this is a real thing. :wink:
