I read that the ML2 works well outdoors as well too? Can you also get a local mesh when you’re outside (obv not the whole world to the horizon ). I mean just what’s near me, maybe an object I might be working on?
Thank you!

Bright sunlight can effect the accuracy of controller tracking. Additionally in wide out door areas there might not be enough nearby feature points for the head tracking to work with the same accuracy as it does in indoor environments. Lastly, the device can more easily overheat when exposed to direct sunlight or warm outdoor environments.
Regarding outdoor meshing. ToF sensors may not perform as well out doors as they do indoors because of the ambient IR light from the sun. However, we do not put any limits on the device so you could still use the Meshing API to create an application that saves the mesh into an obj file.
