Virtual Desktop/Monitor Capabilities

Most AR devices (XREAL, Lenovo, Immersed, Apple Vision Pro, etc…) nowadays allow users to connect to a computer and create at least 1-3 floating virtual monitors/displays you can position in space and work on your laptop with. It’s the primary use case for many users and a major advertising point. Noticed that you support streaming from the headset to the computer but seemingly not the other way around. Any plans on allowing virtual displays/monitors from windows computers to the ML2 either wired or wireless? Immersed seems to have one of the better implementations of this on the quest 3, if we could get something along those lines it would be fantastic. This allows users to utilize apps and tools such as photo/video editing, 3D modeling, Microsoft Office, etc…they are used to using on their laptop now in combination with the headset for increased monitor real estate and productivity. The ultimate portable office setup. Such experiences are often limited by FoV and poor tracking/screen tearing, so seeing it on the best in class FoV AR with your tracking could be a pretty cool experience especially with your dimming capabilities and eye/hand tracking

Welcome to the community and thank you for your feedback. I have shared your this information with our Voice of Customer team. Note, this is not currently on our roadmap, however you might be able to implement a custom version of this feature in your application using features like WebRTC, Android Media Encoder or WebViews. You could also try using desktop OpenXR applications through our Remote Rendering feature.
