I’m trying to setup USD Composer for Remote Rendering by following the instructions provided by Magic Leap. One of the steps includes installing the “AR Experience” extension in USD Composer, but a problem arises when the “Start AR” button is pressed, USD Composer shuts down almost immediately. What could be leading to this issue? Are there any implicit steps that I may not have caught?
I’m using USD Composer v2023.2.5, omni.kit.xr.profile.ar v105.1.0-192, NVIDIA 3080 RTX 537.58 Game Ready Driver, Windows 10.
Thank you for your attention in advance.
Does the sample Remote Rendering application work properly on your device ? Since USD Composer is not a Magic Leap product I recommend reaching out on the Nvidia support channels to see if they can help you trouble shoot or help you create a bug ticket.
I’ve got the installation files installed, but the remote rendering icon/space doesn’t show up on the Magic Leap Hub 3, for some reason. I will reach out to Nvidia support channels regarding the AR Experience extension.
Since Remote Rendering has been depricated, it will no longer show in the Magic Leap Hub. Instead you will need to launch it from the commandline.
Note the path to the Remote Rendering install may be different depending on your install directory.
