ML2 Camera FOV Settings

Hey,

I want to clarify my previous message to ensure my point is clearly understood.

It appears that Magic Leap 2 overrides the camera settings configured in Unity, such as the field of view (FOV). This could be due to an optical limitation.

The issue is not related to the distance between objects but rather to how depth perception behaves unrealistically from a distance. Unfortunately, this makes Magic Leap 2 unsuitable for our intended use case.

If there are any planned updates or adjustments addressing this issue in the coming months, I would appreciate it if you could reach out to me.

Attached are example images illustrating the problem:

  • How the models appear from a distance.
  • Their actual placement, which shifts as you approach, giving the impression that they move away until you get close. But while they are still exactly at their place no matter how far you walk and come back.

The “pipes” you see are supposed to be aligned with the real world objects.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
