We bought Magic Leap 2 few weeks ago and we are experiencing problems with device very frequently while integrating our content development and surgery navigation systems. We have 2 serious hardware problems:
(1) Controller very frequently stops working in magic leap main menu. When I start Unity applications, controller works in applications all the time, but when I close the apps, controller stops working in ML menu, laser beam line does not correctly follow the controller position and buttons do not function. It works again when a new Unity application is started. I upgraded OS 2 times, but not fixed. I try to upgrade controller, it says up to date.
(2) Very critical problem is: Glasses freezes in our Unity project in some specific conditions consistently where application blocks doing some work (for instance loading a data) for more than a second duration. While loading data, screen gets blank/black, after loading ended the scene comes up just for one frame and then glasses freezes and the last scene rendered stays blinking on screen with color shifts of RGB, sometimes glasses restarts itself after waiting sometime, or I had to do hard reset pushing power button long. If this freeze happens, it always happens the same place in App, but it can sometimes be solved with changing some settings, configurations, features. And sometimes rehappen when something change in App. This happens more frequently when RGB camera is active (Red dot on screen). For instance, I tried integrating Vuforia for a week, at last I managed to do, but now it always freezes when medical surgery data is loaded or a game scene is loaded. So our surgery navigation and also game does not work. Vuforia is a must for surgery navigation, Magic Leap Marker tracking is very inaccurate. I still trying to find which causes this. Before Vuforia it was also freezing sometimes including the game we developed before. Game was working in simple menus for a while, but after a long loading (1-2 seconds) section is encountered, it freezes.
This happens in different times in different places of software, but all happens when a frame takes so long to load something. Our application is not a new App, it is used in Windows, NReal, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and never such a thing happened with same scenes before, so I suspect there is a problem with graphics driver and/or RGB camera drivers of ML.
What can I do, I stucked?
