Issue with Marker Tracking App on Magic Leap 2

Hi Magic Leap Customer Support Team,

I have created a simple marker tracking app for the Magic Leap 2. While running the app, the device automatically restarts. I have attached the bug report for your reference.
logcat.zip (173.6 KB)
Sometimes the app runs without any problems, but most of the time, the device restarts automatically.

Can you please provide the OS version and SDK version you are using?
In addition to if you are using OpenXR C++ or Unity or Unreal?
Have you been able to reproduce the crash with the samples listed on the developer portal or the ones provided in Sample projects available via Magic Leap Hub?

Below is the details:
OS Version: 1.9.0
SDK Version:v1.9.0
Unity Version: 2022.3.40f1
I haven't tested the samples available in the developer portal as well as ones provided in the Sample Projects available via Magic Leap Hub.

Would you mind testing the marker tracking samples to help see what may be causing this error?

I tried the marker tracking sample; the device also restarted automatically after a few attempts with this.

We are tracking a similar issue with another developer. We currently think it is related to jumping too many version of the OS at once.

To note, this process above is not a workaround and is documented here. However, we are doing further testing to see if when a device is updated using the prescribed process, the reboot behavior is reduced/resolved

  1. Rollback devices to 1.1.0 (check the "factory reset option, only during this step. Please leave unchecked for steps 2-4)
  2. Update 1.1.0 to 1.2.0
  3. Update 1.2.0 to 1.5.0
  4. Update 1.5.0 to 1.9.0

A future version of MLHub will help guide users through the update paths.

Can you explain the factory reset and updating procedure of the OS in details?
I understand that after successful rollback, the OS will go to the version 1.1.0. After that how can I proceed ahead to install the OS 1.9.0 ?

Once you reset to the 1.1.0 OS version you can update incrementally. Make sure the factory data reset option is disabled when upgrading.

  1. From 1.1.0 to 1.2.0
  2. Then from 1.2.0 to 1.5.0
  3. And finally from 1.5.0 to 1.9.0

Here are the instructions on how to update your device using the MLHub:
