Hello! I am posting again to ask if there has been any progress on standalone Unreal segmented dimming?

This is my previous post, all of the info, project, engine, etc remains the same.

Just by it being on, without even having a post process volume, its reversed. (blank space is dimmed, and objects are not dimmed at all.) If I add a post process volume, no matter how I configure it at all, this does not change. It's as if its being hardcoded and overwritten. Wondering if the method has changed or if I am doi…

Essentially awaiting for this to be fixed to continue.

Thanks,

Hi Brandon,

I'm sorry, but the short answer here is no. Unfortunately, the underlying issue here still exists in UE 5.3 (and 5.4 as well), with no clear timeline for resolution as the issue is present in Unreal Engine itself. For now, I would work under the assumption that segmented dimming is not supported in Unreal engine- unless you are using remote rendering.

Best,
Adam
