# The Lab 2.0 Deprecation/Magic Leap Hub Installation

With the arrival of the Magic Leap Hub, it's time to remove the now-deprecated "Lab 2.0" software. Because the name of the binary executable files have changed, it is not possible to do a smooth "upgrade" to the new software. This will therefore require a fresh installation of the Magic Leap Hub.

This will not affect existing installed packages. They will still be available in the new installation.
