Hello!
When i tried to install Remote Rendering, it showed me an error indicating i dont have a nvidea gpu, even though i have one.

By screen recording the process i was able to capture a cmd opening for a few frames, indicating that the error was due to not finding wmic program.

Apparently, the feature was recently deprecated and is no longer automatically installed. Since no one else had this issue, i guess they only recently started not shipping it with Windows.

After installing WMIC manually, i was able to install Remote Rendering.

Possible actions to take:

- add the wmic requirement to the setup guide
[Remote Render Setup | MagicLeap Developer Documentation](https://developer-docs.magicleap.cloud/docs/guides/remote-rendering/remote-rendering/#)
- add an error message indicating wmic is needed
- remove the dependency on wmic

Hello,

Welcome to the forums! Thanks for raising this issue! You're right- the installer does depend on WMIC, which apparently may be deprecated / removed. Thanks for the deep investigation and posting your notes for the community. We'll raise the concern with our internal development team and, at a minimum, we can update the setup guide.

Best,
Adam
