# Origin of coordinate system

I’m using MagicLeap 2 as a motion capture device for deriving gait parameters. For my research it is crucial to know the exact reference point, or origin, of the headset’s coordinate system—whether it’s at the front, center, or another specific location on the device. I could not find this information in the documentation. Do you have any more info on this.

Unfortunately we do not have this data published, but I think the exact point on the headset is the same one as the origin of the headset 3d object. [Magic Leap](https://ml2-developer.magicleap.com/downloads)
Which is the point between the two displays. This is the same as the `EyeCenter` position
