# Application Simulator Crashing

Give us as much detail as possible regarding the issue you’re experiencing.

Hello, I am trying to use the application simulator but every time I start the simulator the magic leap hub will close. I was wondering if this feature was still supported or if there are alternatives to the application simulator with the new hub. I am unable to get the logs because that requires the application simulator to open.

**Unity Editor version** (if applicable):  
**ML2 OS version** :  
**MLSDK version** : 1.9.0 / 1.6.0  
**ML Hub version** : 2 simply because 3 does not seem to have the application simulator  
**Magic Leap Application Simulator (ZI) Runtime version**: 3.9.0.20240312  
**Magic Leap App Simulator for Unity** (if applicable):  
**Host OS** : Windows

You can capture the logs after the MLHub closes. You can also try using the Unity App Simulator integration :[Application Simulator Plug-in for Unity Editor | MagicLeap Developer Documentation](https://developer-docs.magicleap.cloud/docs/guides/developer-tools/app-sim/unity-app-simulator/)

Unfortunately, on-going support for App Simulator is limited as the tool has been deprecated since OS version 1.5.0 . We recommend using OpenXR and the XRI simulator inside Unity.
